There are offices in Aurora and Gurnee.
Do you currently have an active case?
Hello, Yes we do. We also offer free phone consultations.
I certainly hope not. I paid hard earned money for help and advice.
Hello, Darrol: Thanks for reaching out. Just to clarify, your debts do not "stop," but the minute your Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy case is filed with the court, your creditors are prevented by law from again contacting you directly about your debts. If they do contact you anyway, please let your DebtStoppers attorney know immediately, as this may entitle you to receive monetary damages from your creditors. Your debts are eliminated for good once your case has been approved and discharged by the bankruptcy court. Please let us know if we can provide further information and thanks again for reaching out to DebtStoppers.
Hello Javona, Please contact me directly at 312-300-9058 so I can assist you. Regards, Anisa Sabella DebtStoppers
Yes it will. When you use a consolidation company they don’t always make your payments regularly causing late payments. Also sometimes all creditors don’t participate causing lawsuits and collections to still occur. All these things hurt your credit. Its quicker and more effective to file 7 or 13 since as soon as either one is over you can start rebuilding as creditors are willing to work with you since you have eliminated all your debt.
Hello Yolanda - We do accept walk ins. I would recommend coming in for a free consultation and see what you are eligible for.
Hi Deborah - I'm having trouble seeing when your question was submitted. Please let me know the date you are looking to come in.Thanks
Hello Harold, A chapter 7 won’t resolve any issue that caused a license to be suspended but chapter 13 can unless the reason for suspension was DUI then bankruptcy won’t help with the license in that situation, but can help with any judgements related to the incident.
DebtStoppers is a debt relief agency helping people get out of debt through personal bankruptcy.
The minute a bankruptcy case is filed with the court, all actions by your creditors — including lawsuits requiring your court appearance — must stop.
