The white sand is beautiful! We loved spending time at the beach today. I would highly recommend Matanza Beach for anyone visiting St. Augustine!

This is my favorite place to come when I visit the Daytona area. I love low tide when you can walk all the way out and only get up to knee level and then poke around at all the cool critters and shells. There are never really any jellyfish here. In the right months, you can sometimes see a manatee go slowly by. I also enjoy it during high tide because then you can swim along near the shore. The current moves here but never strong enough that I have to panic about losing my small kids.

There is a parking lot then a walkway to beach
Only umbrella use. I also saw sunbrellas which have sidewings.
Go to snake island.....you'll have to go North of Matanzas or south toward Flagler if you wanna drive on the beach. If you go to A1A on N.St Augustine you can drive south for miles.
