Interesting site with trails and plaques that help you understand the battle. Very enjoyable visit. Fort Phil Kearney is nearby, make sure to visit there as well.

Kiosks have a ton of straightforward information. Very well marked out and like most things: it’s the story about the events that makes it significant.

I've wanted to visit here for years, but it is a far drive from Pittsburgh. The Fetterman Massacre was the army’s worst defeat in the West until the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876. If you're familiar with the battle you'll enjoy a stop at this monument. We could see the exact locations where battle maneuvers took place, and this easy drive (about three miles) from Fort Phil Kearny.

Nice place to stop for picnic lunch with great views of the rolling grassy hillsides. Also really interesting accounts of the massacre that took place here. The stone monument and plaque stood out atop the rolling grassy hillsides. There are a couple of short walks that you can do here as well.
