An Exciting and Awesome daytrip to Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River. The outfitter bused our group down a 2mile dam service tunnel below Glen Canyon dam. Boarded a motorized raft and cruised South on Colorado River. Stopped at petroglyph sandbar for view and pit stop. Jumped in river to cool off. Headed to the far side of Horseshoe. Then returned back to Glen Canyon dam boat landing and back up to the town of Page AZ.

Cool petroglyphs that are between 700 and 3000 years old. Some we're defaced by an idiot named Trent in 2011. Make sure you're not like Trent.

Just amazing, the ride down here is one in a million, I would love to come back and maybe camp overnight where it's available. Makes you think how far humanity has came and gone

Lets just say that the Glen Canyon / Grand Canyon areas of Arizona are all 5 stars. I can't fault them for people who litter and deface. We got here through Wilderness adventures half day morning boat ride. Our stop was brief and pleasant. The age of these is remarkable that they are there still and the fact you can camp and raft up to them is awesome

We took a riverboat tour from lake Powell and this is on of their stops . Don’t think there is another way to get down the river level to see this.
Have to do a river trip. I highly recommend the full day. Dress in layers it can be cool on the river.
