For what is clearly a renovated motel, this place was exactly what we expected …& more. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was spacious & clean & comfortable. Pool & breakfast included were perks as well as ample bottled water & a whole spread of cute snacks for kids in the lobby. Nothing fancy, but was a great option for our added night onto our trip after a few days of more luxurious (& expensive) accommodations. Should be noted this is not within walking distance of the main downtown district. But after doing all of that, was a great place to rest our heads & get on the road the next morning.

While visiting St. Michaels to search for homes in January 2021, we decided to stay at the St. Michaels Inn. Given the name of the hotel embraced the name of the town, we expected the hotel to be lovely and charming. This could be further from the truth. The hotel room had dirty sheets, towels with holes, stained carpeting and was extremely musty and dirty. We have stayed in quite a few hotels across the country and this was by far the worst. I am not sure how this hotel is still in business and the board of health has not shut them down. Since moving to the town, we have learned the reputation and those in town look down on this hotel. Do yourself a favor and book at one of the lovely bed and breakfasts or other hotels in town.

Water had a very strong sulfur smell and sink would not drain properly. The water was cloudy. Had to use a water bottle to brush teeth & taking a shower was horrific. Pictures were mis leading

Positive: The location is close to town center. The hotel offers transportation. There is ample parking here. Working on updating the facilities: Paint, furniture, decor. Pricing. This a great place to stay for hunting season; a clean, warm room to lay your hea Negative: No complaints. There is access to rear rooms which has low clearance. Be aware of this is you drive a large truck. I could not fit.
