Just did my second year in a row staying in the B cabins and it's been great both times. They've always been clean when I've arrived. They have heat, full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, and microwave. There's a fire pit outside each one and a screened-in porch. Then have 2 bedrooms that each have two cots and a pair of extra fold-out cots in the main room. Bathroom has sink and toilet. The one down side is no hot water in the cabins, so washing dishes can be difficult. There's a centrally located shower building that's no more than a few hundred yards from any of the B cabins and that has hot water obviously. There's a trailhead for the gorge trail that starts by the lower falls and is only a 5-minute walk from these cabins. It's a great experience and I plan to make it an annual tradition to stay here.

B cabins are well appointed with 2 bedrooms, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave; dining area with table and 6 chairs, toilet with sink, screened porch with picnic table and outdoor grill and fire pit. The cabins in this area have some privacy from each other due to the manner in which they are located. They are conveniently located in close proximity to the visitor center, recreational area, lower falls, restaurant and camp store.

The cabin itself was good. Mostly clean, everything worked. Major issue with facilities. Water in the cabin is shut off end of October. There is supposed to be a comfort station (toilets, showers) to service the cabins. What is not disclosed is, at least on the men's side, there are only 3 or 4 shower stalls and one toilet. As this is obviously not enough, there are also 2 porto-potties. The men's side smelled bad and needed a lot more cleaning then what it was getting, probably from overuse. Temps during our stay were in the 30's, hard to imagine porto-potties in sub freezing temps. Unpleasant stay and not worth the cost. Stay away during winter, other parks close by (i.e. Fair Haven or Allegheny) are better suited for winter operations.

Nice minimalist cabins. Indoor water and bathroom not available in November. Still has cots, table, stove, refrigerator and is heated. Shared bath house a few minute walk away in B cabin loop (not the most pleasant smelling but decent for a state park). Overall great location with easy access to the Southern trails and main waterfalls without driving

Miles. Don't know how many. Maybe 3-6?

Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the B Cabins? I can't find any. TIA.

I did'nt take a picture inside but I can at least give a short description. They are full log cabins at least 40 or more years old. They are given regular paint jobs so the logs are all fairly solid wood. The interior walls look the same as the exterior. There is an electric stove and refrigerator that is probably from the 80s. Our cabin had 2 steel framed bunk beds and If I recall a couple cot beds. Not alot of room in the 6 person cabins due to the cots.
