Classic Marriott in a corporate environment. No doubt Covid has had an impact. Pretty clear Managment company has cut back on maintenance and staff. My bet is the hotel was at 10% occupancy the two nights we were there, operating on minimum staff. People bouncing to different jobs, clearly not enjoying the day. Door between restraunt and porch had to be kept closed do you food safety, however was locked from outside. After a brief interaction - staff member was overheard complaining about guests asking to use door. Normal practice for Marrriot is to email receipt in the morning (early). Then final after check out. I had not received invoice, stopped by front desk (don’t normally have to). Asked for invoice, was told it would be emailed. Asked to have a printed copy, desk clerk referenced basket of keys he had to process. I asked again for a printed receipt, he said it would be emailed. Other desk cler got involved and said printer was broken. Another sign Managment co is cutting back on expenses. I said that would have been the appropriate response initially, which desk clearly said he said. Not true. Quite simply a broken printer is basic. Emailing invoices in the AM, is a basic Marriott process. 9hrs after leaving hotel - no invoice or email. Outside patio chairs have holes in them Cigarette buts on the outside terrace in shot glass and various other spots Bar stools are old - holes/ scratches Staff not happy. I started at a 4+ but have landed at a 2. Managment co needs to invest. Marriott needs to audit I will find another Marriott property next time in the area

I stayed at this hotel for five nights (not by choice). Never would I recommend the hotel to anybody. The sheets had not been changed in my room: the bed was unmade and there were pubic hairs from the previous guest clearly visible. I called the front desk and was given the opportunity to change rooms, which I did. HOW ON EARTH, HOWEVER, COULD I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A ROOM IN WHICH THE BEDDING HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED? The new room was on a nicer side of the hotel (a plus). But the problems I experienced continued throughout my stay. Here are some examples: *Despite requesting that my room be "serviced" daily, it was not. *The air conditioning unit broke down half-way through my stay. *Netflix and Amazon Prime stopped working on Day Two. *The electric cord of the iron would not stay retracted. Despite repeated requests to get the iron replaced, it never was. *Wake-up calls were requested for 6 a.m. I received them daily at 5 a.m., despite complaining. *Buffet breakfast was supposed to be available at 6:30 a.m. each day. On the days that it was, it was great (a plus). I was not happy the day that it only opened at 7:30 a.m. (as I had somewhere to be for a meeting). *When (after multiple complaints) my room got "serviced," it was unsatisfactory, inconsistent, and spotty: towels not replaced, but bed made; bed made, but trash not taken out; coins clearly visible behind a cabinet that were never removed; no vacuuming or wiping of counters; glasses only replaced once during entire week. *Front desk staff members seemed overwhelmed. Some of them were more helpful than others. *The day before I checked out, I returned from my meeting to discover that the door to my room was unlocked (with no sign of housekeeping staff anywhere on my floor). HOW TO JUSTIFY LEAVING THE DOOR OF A GUEST OPEN WITHOUT ANYBODY NEARBY TO ENSURE THAT THEFTS WOULD NOT OCCUR? *Charges for hundreds of dollars were placed on my credit card (as holds)--even though it was clear that my stay was to have been paid by corporate card (also on file). I urge any potential guests to think carefully before booking stays here.

Went to a wedding here this weekend and while it is a fine hotel in many ways, we were really disappointed and would not return. When we got to the hotel they informed us that the 2 queen bed room we booked had been impacted by some sort of flooding or leak and they needed to move us to a king room. It was just two of us so we said sure. But our room was also impacted by the water damage, whatever it was. We had to keep our shoes on until we jumped into bed because bare feet/sock feet would be immediately soaked through. The smell of wet musty carpet hit you when you walked in and did not subside all weekend, which was unpleasant. The room was otherwise fine, bed very nice, and generally clean. But this was an issue for us during our stay and even after it dries eventually will lead to carpet damage and mold if they don't address it. During the wedding and the reception, which were also at the hotel, children who were there for a big sports tournament were running around and sneaking into the wedding area. It was extremely inappropriate and disruptive. We understand that hotel staff are not responsible for people's children, but it was like no one was around but a bunch of children, parents or staff, to manage the area. Other issues were issues faced in a lot of "mid range" hotels. The housekeepers were awesome all weekend! Really appreciate every kind and helpful interaction with them. But management clearly does not give them the supplies and time they need to do a good job for long-term up keep of the hotel. The rooms are all kept basically clean, but you can tell there is no investment in the long-term. So the corners of rooms and air vents are dirty and dusty, which is always the red flag giveaway. It's also generally dated - the tiles and so on in the bathrooms are cracked and the towels are clearly very old and small, and they only gave us two. Terrible toilet paper. You have to pay for breakfast which is fine except that it was mostly just a formality. One of the benefits of paying for breakfast is supposed to be having a little bit of service (I totally understand it is not a full service restaurant, but a buffet). They set the tables and bring by coffee, etc. But the tables were all either dirty or just missing silverware and glasses, etc., and there wasn't any coffee. We had to go find silverware and never did get a spoon or any coffee. The buffet was almost empty, most of the milk frozen to the back of the fridge. This was a while before breakfast ended, too. Lots of missing items. Waffles and bread items were all freezer burned or stale. Even if it were a free continental breakfast it would have been inappropriate, but to ask people to pay for this is definitely not appropriate. Overall a roadside motel experience in a building that happens to be large enough to hold big events.

This hotel is lovely for party and gathering. We had our wedding reception here for a whole weekend. However we are incredibly disappointed in the staffing and how they handled discrepancies. Several of our out of town guests had rooms all mixed up and they refused to give them the correct rooms (booked a double Queen and got a king and wouldn’t give them a correct room). Also one of the rooms our guests booked had bed bugs and one had a bed who didn’t have the sheets made up and they asked for new sheets and housekeeping didn’t even offer to make the bed. The photographer for our wedding had a Do Not Disturb sign up and someone broke into her room and stole over $1000 worth of cards, cash, etc. and the hotel didn’t have cameras in the hallways and didn’t do anything but call the cops for her. The wedding coordinator and staff for our reception was phenomenal!! I would give them a 5 star but the hotel itself was very disappointing!
