Great stop to stretch your legs on a road trip. The path to the bridge is well maintained. There is historical information at the bridge. There are no bathroom facilities.

Beautiful site. The first little bridge crossing the Creek is nicely maintained as is the drive leading up to it. The quarter mile walk is mostly smooth with only a few small and easily maneuverable issues. The land surrounding it is gorgeous, with old growth trees and a very peaceful feeling to it. The Covered Bridge itself is magnificent, it even smells old, which may be gross to you but makes it even more nostalgic to me. It’s a fantastically preserved piece of tangible Missouri history, something to smell and feel and sink into. The story boards in front of the bridge tell the stories well. In summer the land is covered with cutleaf coneflower and it feels like you’ve stepped into a yellow and green fairy glade.
