Someone knocked on my door at 11pm. I got really scared and asked the police to come make sure no one was hanging around outside the house. They patrolled the neighborhood multiple times and then let me know that they would come back throughout the night to make sure I remained safe. I felt very relieved to know that they were going to come check on us a few times. I really appreciate that, and it makes me feel valued.
