Had a great experience at Down River Equipment this week. Zack helped us narrow down which SUP we needed. He asked lots of good questions and helped us pick out the right one for purchase. They even had some great package deals that included paddle. This is a great store with lots of great gear and very knowledgeable staff.

My wife and I bought an RMR raft, a large cooler, drop bag, water jugs, 3 PDF’s, oars, oar towers & locks, countless straps, 2 paco pads, a foot pump for bucket washing station, 3 dry wags, throw bag, 3 splash tops, various hardware for frame. We have spent well over $8,000 with Down River. When I picked up the raft, the salesman assured me that they could assist with the setup as long we call ahead. Well I had put everything together myself except a couple of straps and the correct position of the oat towers. When I called them today to see if they could give me a hand with the last couple of tasks, Trip told me that they would not help and if I were to want help that I would be billed or I can just go onto a webpage and look it up myself. I cannot say in words how absolutely disappointed I was in Down River. I will take my business else where and will not recommend Down River to anyone that asks me about my boat and where I got it. What is really frustrating is the fact that we had been told on several different points, they would be more than happy to assist with the setup however needed. I guess that is just something someone says to try and create a sale instead of creating a lasting consumer relationship. I can assure you they have lost my families business in the future and will again make sure I let as many people know about Trip and his horrendous customer service.

Down river did just update their website - if you're not finding what you need give them a call on monday. They definitely still make replacement seat covers.
