Rent at your own risk! If I could give this zero stars I would. Where do I begin... First off don't move in if you plan to live there for an extended period. They will nickel and dime you for "move out repairs" that are 100% the fault of the state these apts are in already to the point that if you paid $850 and left the apt spotless, they will only give you back $300. For example, the sink and kitchen were spotless, yet they charged me for a "sink resurfacing fee and claimed that there were spots they had to clean (i.e. they don't really clean what they can just paint over). Also if you have issues with neighbors or management, document EVERYTHING and take pictures because they are notorious for not doing anything on their end until the cops show up. And even if they do, usually you are left with zero recourse anyway and its better just to stay away and save yourself the headache. A complete rip off deposit wise, and they treat these apts like they are condos, which if you've seen the apts and the neighborhood, they aren't. Plus always lock everything up and don't leave anything outside that is valuable. It'll be gone sooner than later. The apts have horrible insulation, the wind blows everything in. Management is understaffed and tries to act as if they are doing you a favor by not “charging you more”, if they even give you that option. And mind you that this is after years of being a good tenant, never paid rent late or had any issues other than minor maintenance. Plumbing and electricity goes out periodically, especially in bad weather, mainly because of the age and poor infrastructure, but because its by the hospital the city and management tend to get things fixed “quick” which keeps the complaints down-ish. Also if you have issues with your neighbors, good luck and don’t expect any help!

The office setting is the best. They are very nice women and no matter the weather they are at work. when covid first made its appearance in corpus christi and the industry as far as jobs went down and it really put a huge money loss for a-lot of families my friends that stay at other apartments complained that they had no empathy from their landlords and really we went through this together and communities cane together like they did here at the Colony Apartment complex did while others had a disadvantage and had problems with there management teams and had no empathy for the struggle that some went through. They guided me along with other neighbors who had never dealt with financial difficulties and walked me through it. They really stood by my side when i needed them. And that is something that really made an effect to me. When u have a family and lose ur job and don’t have nobody to turn to really the last person u expect to hold ur hand and walk that road with u, is ur landlord. well the colony apartment complex has the best crew of office members. They are family to me cause they really are there for their residents. And to experience that and know that my kids were not going to be homeless and there was someone looking out for us. There is no words to explain . This is a family when u come to live at the colony you become part of a family. And who doesn’t want to move into a community that is more like family than just another person paying rent. Everyone is friendly and its quiet and its home . And for a single mother with children the bills and rent are affordable. If your looking fir a safe convenient place to raise ur family. I would recommend The Colony over any other apartments here in corpus christi. —-a resident

Very quaint, bug issues have been addressed. Laundry rooms are kept up with. Positive place to stay. Close to lots of stores, restaurants, nail places etc. with the times we live in you have to make it what you want it to be.

During these time these apartments are only helping those whom are receiving unemployment or if their hours are short. As a nurse I buy everything cash and groceries have been limited we did pass a week where there were no eggs or toilet paper meat ect.. some lines were long for products n not all workers can make it in time as well there was not enough to go around... so we have to get what we can or pay more. So now I need help or payment arrangements and these people do not consider you in need of help since your working full time but I’m essential with not a hazardous pay. !
