Love that they paint roots pink so they are visible! Clean restrooms

I'd give this park a better rating if it weren't for the appallingly bad or just plain absent maps/trail guidance. My husband and I rarely come here and today I was reminded why: You can easily end up lost and walking muuuuch farther than you intended. The only trail map, (a sad and abused thing situated at a key intersection faaaaar up the trail, where you've begun to wonder how much longer you can hold your bladder), doesn't even identify your location (...just try interpreting a trail map without that little detail). I'm sure park funds are tight, but how much would it cost to paint "you are here" on the dang map?

The main pavilion had fire pits with stocked witch I thought was pretty nice

Yes, let them run till you see someone. Then hook them up it's normal. Oh, clean up after them
It does not appear that grooming has resumed (as of Jan / Feb 2022) I was there multiple times this week and saw the towable groomer but it was not being used.
You can call 517-676-2233 and ask them directly. Also sleepy hollow State Park does have horse trails.
Unfortunately they are closed for the winter. But the trails have been beautiful with the snow!
The park is open from dawn to dusk. The park is open without bathrooms currently. I walked the trails past week.
Large and Small mouth Bass, Pike, bluegill, crappie, perch, and catfish.
There is a boat launch on the east side of the lake, try there.
You can reserve them, not sure how much.
Depends on the year. The south park has a better beach too.
