Understaffed, rude, and dirty
Alan Raymond
My mom was here on the 4th floor for 4 days. The staff was outstanding and responsive. The Nurses were friendly and kept our family informed. Then CNAs were friendly and caring. A SPECIAL shout out the CNA Jerry, a fellow Mt. Greenwood kid. He was absolutely the best I have seen in this field. The other items such as quality of food, cleanliness of room, comfort of room were all 5 star. The case manager was wonderful in helping with the discharge to a rehab we requested. Thank you Silver Cross for caring for my mom.

they saved me!

They're racist , even the security man ...

Any age child can visit you and baby on the regular postpartum floor, so long as they are accompanied by an adult and are not sick. I've had my own children visit with their dad and friends visit with their children.

You can technically visit someone on a regular floor 24/7. (You'll have to go in though the ER if you go at night though, as the front desk closes and the front doors get locked. I *think* it closes at 9, but I'm not sure.) Things are different with the ICU, but I don't know their exact rules.
The gift shop is wonderful. I called about flowers and they sent me pictures with prices. Sent me my receipt with a thank you note for using them.
BCBS is the insurance they offer employees so they most certainly accept it
Yes its nice one they force you to go to group therapy it's better than Advocate Christ medical center
Didn't have a problem went into emergency room got taken care of almost Immediately!
With the covid restrictions right now probably not but there are students that work with the nurses and doctors depending on the area. It would most likely be through a school and at least 18yrs old
Unfortunately there arent really any hotels withing 5 or 10 miles of the hospital. It's pretty remote, but it is right off 355 so it's pretty easy to get to from surrounding areas that would have pet friendly accommodations
Main cafeteria, lower level, open 7am-7pm, 7 days a week. Few vending machines nearby cafeteria entrance if all else closed. The Starbucks snack hours on main level vary daily. On Mondays in Medical Pavilion A, they set up a rotating lunch food cart (company is called "Fooda") with various local caterers. Hope that helps.
Cleaning is done by in house. Auxiliary buildings use contract cleaning crew for the most part
As others have stated no.. besides the risk of losing it or being stolen..its a health risk bc of machines and certain electrical instruments used.. it can be quite dangerous.
Don't know, wasn't in one
Hi Joyce, to schedule a blood draw, call 815-300-7076. For results of a blood draw, please call your doctor who ordered the tests. Thank you!
Yes, no children under the age of 18
I do not believe children under 18 are currently allowed to visit
Yes, for sure the ppo.
Call ahead to the nurse station to see if they will be allowed in a particular patients room. But yes children can enter the hospital.
IDK about that .. everyone I know that has been in or had anything done at St.Joes have had major and some serious complaints. I would never choose St Joes..if I'm there its bc I was taken by ambulance and had no say
Also I did not feel comfortable Having my personal information put out to the public like this in the very center of the waiting Room. Who do I talk to about this?
Yeah - that's definitely an ER issue.
There is not a florist close by but the gift shop carries a small selection of arrangements. Just remember no flowers in the ICU
I'm very sorry your husband was in pain, but unless he has a history of blood clots or some other history or symptoms that indicate his life is in danger, "pain in his leg" is not a true emergency. Even most broken legs can - and sometimes do - wait behind actual emergencies. In general, pain is not an emergency and gets you put at the bottom of the triage list. Chest pain (the one exception re: pain), difficulty breathing, head or spinal cord injuries, trauma from a car accident, and (most) GSWs are true emergencies. If he waited seven hours, it's because they had seven hours of people with true emergencies interspersed with people who should have gone to urgent care instead. Unless your husband has a history that makes "pain in the leg" a sign of deeper issues, I'd suggest you do the same - there are several good ones in the area. Oh, by the way: This is the area for questions about a business, not reviews on it. So almost no one will see this, and it won't affect their rating.
It depends on your situation: why you're there, how long you'll likely be there, what section you're in, etc. In the ICU you'd have to wear a gown. In the heart section you'd have to wear a special gown that holds the box and has a slit to let the wires through. In most post-surgical cases, unless it's a toe or such, you'd be in a gown so they can examine the wound and/or change the bandages easily. If you have a Foley, you'd definitely be in a gown. Aside from those areas, you can usually wear your own pajamas. Just remember that you must have an open line - e.g. an IV, PICC line, or Port-a-cath. So bring loose, short sleeved tops (whatever bottoms). Long sleeved shirts and IV lines don't mix well. No long nightshirts (or gowns) for the same reason. Oh, and don't bring your favorite ones. IV lines can come loose - rarely, but still. If it happens in your sleep you'll likely wake up soaked in various IV fluids mixed with some blood. It's both gross and hard to get out of your pajamas.
You can visit any time, although you'll have to go through the ER after 9pm. The ICU may have slightly different rules.
I suggest asking your obgyn about that.
The hospital doesn't read these questions. I suggest you call your insurance company and ask.
No. You will have to take uber or lyft
I'm sure it is, yes.
No. They are required to trest any one in the ER regardless
Yes. Some Walgreens also have a "disposal box".
I'm unsure what the mole has to do with it, but a cough is a definite no-no!
Not sure on caregiver class you got call them.
You'd need to call and ask.
You could go to ER which would take care of it right away. Or you can make an appointment with a GI gastroenterologist Dr.
Call the operator and ask for the insurance department or try the billing department
I would call them
