We allow kids 10 and over to shoot with you. You (the parent or guardian) must have a FOID card. Anyone 14 or under must take our Junior Safety Course before shooting at the range though. The course is $45 for the first minor, $30 for each additional. On a side note, you can get FOID cards for your minors via the IL State Police website. You'll have to provide a signed and notarized affidavit.

Hello, We offer a 90 day layaway program. Your deposit will be $100 or 10% of your total. The greater amount will be accepted at that time along with the $5.00 background check fee. Yes you need to apply for your FOID card first. Once you get that then you are on your way with going inside of the range, looking and feeling how the firearm feels in your hands. If you can take or go with someone who knows about firearms, without being bias toward just one particular manufacturer. Kurt was mostly correct. The law has now changed, where there is a 72 hour hold for all guns. If you order in the website, the length of time depends on the gun and the available stock. It should be a few days or two weeks. It's really hard to tell. In most cases it doesn't take that long. It's smart to have your paperwork completed upon ordering, per Kurt's suggestion.

I work at Eagle (and am a certified IL CCL Instructor). IL honors no other States' permits unfortunately, so you'll have to trasnsport as a non-CCL holder (firearms is a locked case, no ammo in the firearms). As long as you have an out of state (non-IL) driver's license, you are good to go for the range.

Guns (and ammo) typically can't be returned to a store. Some retailers will make an exception, but that's unusual and case by case. My best advice is to rent any guns you're interested in so that you can be sure it's what you want.
