Lovely museum, gifts hope and collections of creatures and stones. Take the tour, my grandchildren loved It! Also a great nursery! Huge, mature cactus garden was amazing!

I was super excited to go. It is $10. But the museum is closed. But there are a lot of great animals in the gift shop to look at and pet! Nice outside paths. Worth going for a nice day outside. You could do everything in about 2 hours or less. They have a great succulent nursery! Lots or gorgeous plants!!!

This was a fun family adventure. The landscaping definitely adds a Jurassic Park vibe which was awesome! The nursery was a nice surprise with lots of different options for succulents to purchase. There's many photo ops with dinosaurs, a guided tour, a beautiful flower garden, a pond with turtles and a gift shop. They close at 3pm (not sure if that's covid hours) but that was the only issue we had because we got there later in the afternoon. Entrance is free. Parking is $10 which we were able to use as a credit towards our purchase at the nursery (you have to make a purchase of $40 or more to get the credit)

The Discovery Center is a non-profit, admission is free. But the paid tours and the gift shop is what keeps the doors open:-) I am also one of the volunteers the helps keep the place open. It is a great place for the kids bring a picnic lunch!
There's no fee to walk around most of the grounds and through the gift shop and to see the critters. Tours are about $10 and cover more of the grounds. There are classes for kids, about $20 but check the schedule first, some need to be signed up for ahead of time. Museum is suggested donation of $3 or $5. Parking is free. It's a great place to go to.
Oh yes! It's set up for an elementary school audience though, but then again dinosaurs are cool at any age.
I paid between $110 and $130 for ten children. (Ten is the minimum.)
Yes they do sell rocks there. They actually have a very nice gift shop with plenty of rocks, fossil, gem stones and much more.
Entry is free
About 2008 filed for fictitious name, Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center.
Depends on how awesome your kid is, and how good of a parent you are. Not a hands off easy drop off, but an amazing spot they might actually learn something if you know how to teach...
No they don't to be honest I believe you would have to bring your own
Live reptiles inside and giant turtles... Lots of fun i think for the pricing they have a little gift shop that's really inexpensive but has great stuff
The parking, petting the turtles, museum and walking around the gift shop and ground are free. They have Boy Scout merit badge classes on weekends that you need to sign up for and cost $ and other activities on certain schedules for a small fee but call to confirm.
Good question call and ask.
Hours are Tues-Sat 8-5, Sun 12-5, Mon closed. JMDC is hosting a BSA Cub Scout Archery program Saturday, March 16th. BSA has details, JMDC is only the host.
I'm 55 and I liked it! Great fossil exhibit.
JMDC does look at local artist's work to offer for sale. Currently JMDC does not offer craft/flea markets. Great questions.
Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday noon to 5:00 pm, and closed Monday.
