The Discovery Center is a non-profit, admission is free. But the paid tours and the gift shop is what keeps the doors open:-) I am also one of the volunteers the helps keep the place open. It is a great place for the kids bring a picnic lunch!
Great place to take kids Bunches of things to touch places to explore I love taking kids there it's free
They have a $1.00 grab bag. It has a shark tooth, and some rocks, stickers. My daughter loved it.
Admission is free, however, there is a fee for excursions.
I’m not sure if they have a “tour” but they do have activities that focus on different thing. You can check your calendar for the activities and the price of each. I took my grandson on the Indian one where he made an adobe brick and learned about the Indians. He also went on a geology one and the Dino dig which was his favorite. He had a chance to learn how fossils are dug up and what a paleontologist does. The activities are very reasonably priced for what they do.
Yes u can go a walk around the gift shop and the little cactus and succulent nursery but if u want a tour of the trails I think u need to pay and book it. Just give them a call they r super nice people there.
The gift shop is near the restrooms. It may be hard to avoid. But the dollar bags are a good choice
It is free. My son loved it. But might wanna avoid gift shop. They do have small inexpensive gifts though.
Free yes
Its free but there is a awesome gift shop you may want to avoid with 5 kids just sayin
