Drove 30 minutes one way to drop off a cat and was turned away because they do not accept cats on Sunday. That bit of information would be super helpful on your website.
They try to save as many dogs and cats as they can. They only humanely euthanize animals with severe untreatable injuries or illnesses and those with severe aggressive issues that cannot be rehabilitated or corrected with medication
If you're not sure if he's ready yet, Young Williams has a Doggy Day Trip program so you can get your cuddles and time in with a fur baby during the day. My family loved that program, and when working from home it was an absolute Godsend. After a while we finally found the perfect dog for us, and she integrated really well into our family because she'd already visited with us a few times.
Go to the police if you or any one suspect animal cruelty asap
Cats ages three and older are free to a good home every single day!
They had a guinea pig there when I adopted my 2 cats this past Sunday.
You will have to look online at what they have available. They don't specifically have or not have Pomeranians. It is a shelter.
Yes they will find the kitty a good home.
Yes they have many cats to choose from and almost always have kittens.
Yes, as Ms. Robertson said you just have to sign in and ask to visit the cat room
You will be charged if your not from Knox county
I would love to adopt a German Shepherd young dog. I have mopped around over my GS GUNNER enough I'm just so much better with one
This is not a hospital but yeah they do help in there other facilities off Kingston Pike but you will have to call them to ask questions and get answers
All kinds. You can go to their website
We are striving every day towards a no-kill status. As the municipal shelter for the county and city, we have to reach and maintain a 90% save rate in order to be able to call ourselves "no-kill." Our statistics have improved drastically through many positive changes we've made over the past couple of years. You can see more specific statistics on our website.
I believe they take all that come in, no matter age or health
Yes! Just scheduled on one of their scheduled monthly days. It's usually around 60-75 depending. But that includes shots and microchip as well! You drop off around 9-10am and pick up that evening. All the young Williams staff take extra good care of your fur babies!
Not sure. I would contact the center
If they do would probably put them down due to liability risks.
Call or go by Young Williams ask for the resources department, they can help.
There is no charge, but there may be better options for a truly wild animal. Try Ijams.
What animals they have depend on what are brought in. Typically it seems animals are adopted very quickly so there's fast turnaround on what animals are there but they don't stock given breeds or anything like that. They have two locations so if you can't find a small breed puppy at one try the other! If not, maybe come back another time and check again.
Call before you come but we have a lot of puppies or small dogs
They have several small to medium sized dogs and an older dog in the size your looking for is a good fit. They come fixed, micro chipped and you can do sleepovers to find the perfect pet for your family
You can walk in. Mask is required
Our cat was free. Once a year, day varies, all (and I mean all) animals are free. We have a Siamese.
There is a separate website for the microchip, it's not YWAC. But they can give you the info you need if you call them.
You can check Young Williams website to see dogs available for adoption.
Check the strays frequently at Young Williams. Someone may have turned in your pup to them.
40 for full gron .more for puppys
I would contact Young Williams for sure. They take in animals but usually have a wait list. They have a long list of resources and places you can try to find a place for him, including facebook groups and whatnot. Hopefully that helps!
Go to their website and you'll see photos of all available pets.
They do some times you can look on the web site
I believe it's around $75, you can get information on their website. I got my dog neutered, along with shots and his nails clipped and it was under $100, but it's only $75 for the surgery only. Much cheaper than a vet bill!
No they don't. But I do know that CAC office on aging does place animals with seniors (clients).
Try young Williams
You can view adoptable animals here https://www.young-williams.org/adopt-a-pet/
That sounds like a job for the TWRA especially if it is a wild bird that needs some form of rehabilitation service.
They should have number to call for emergencies, if not then Google search for local emergency vet clinics. There are a few on Kingston Pike. Call any of them to help. Good Luck!
I'm not sure, but I don't see why they would not let you, just give them a call there staff is friendly and helpful,
I would say yes.
No but you may find a foster family that might be able to help
Daily brushing should do the trick
You have to make an appointment to surrender an animal.
There is a $40 fee to adopt, and there are some dogs who can't live with cats. They had some small dogs when I was there, but not many. They have a website that can show what dogs they have.
They have a spay shuttle and depends on income sometimes its free.just call them is all you need to do
Young-williams does from time to time euthanize animals. They make every effort to find homes for the animals they do take in but in certain cases (typically when rehabilitation, care or treatment for an animal is an obstacle to finding permeate placement) they make the decision to put animals down. Before making that decision, they typically try to work with other rescue agencies.
Animal control should be able to help
I would call to ask but I think it's like $40
That is a statement not a question but adoptable pets are on their website
Call university of tn veterinary. The mighty even come get it. Please call UT veterinarian
If you go to Young-williams.org you can hit the adopt button>adopt dogs. Then scroll through the pictures to get an idea of who is in the animal center at this time. It's a great way to get a solid idea, but feel free to come down any day between 10-6. The shelter is only closed 1-2 for animal quiet time and staff lunches.
They do except volunteers but you have to go through the process of volunteering, such as classes I think, just call and ask them questions about it and if it isn't at this location it can be done on the location on Kingston Pike too
An adult is usually $40. Puppies of course are more, usually around $150.
No. They do not have a low-cost vet clinic for sick or injured animals. They do have a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Some vaccines are offered a la carte along with the scheduling of a surgery only. However, if you contact the Pet Resource Center at Young-Williams, they can provide information on area low-cost vet care.
What kind of tags? Rabies and City?
You can go to the intake department at young williams on division st and ask about your pet there.
It depends on what kind of animal and the age of the animal as to what their adoption fees are.
Call 865 215-6677 to get information about having your animal spayed or neutered.
3201division st
They do provide free pet food to those in need I think.
Should just depends on how much they have . I would give them a call first
Best to call them
You don't have fo call either,,, just wait it out. Nature ensures "she" won't starve, especially with your help, so keep feeding and a basic trust will develop to allow you close enough to nab her. Young-Williams is by far a better option than animal control. I'll come help out before the city fools talk you into that fate.
I believe they have a website and you can view current animals.
Call them
No charge, but a donation would be grateful since they will be feeding, sheltering and walking your pet
Call them
U need to check their website
No they do not, but I no they hv vaccines done under cheaper amount than vets sometimes at pet sense, pet smart, if u will just watch articles and flyers on the store itself. Also they do microchipping ....I get my animals shots done usually thru pet sense whole lot cheaper than vets cost but u can also buy the 7 in 1 shots and pet stores and do it yrself but you would hv to do rabies somewhere else, but it's kinda hard to get into vets without records of previous shot records Bc they don't believe in doing their shots on yr own. But sometimes when they host affairs at animal shelters and other places for low cost spay and neuter they also do shots it's just watching paper and not missing dates which is easily done, but with the shelter u are requiring about would prob hv alot of info on places that is cheaper on shots and etc ...I'd just give them a call and ask if they no bout places for low income people that own animals and needing shots and they would lead u in rite direction
They are a no kill shelter. But, I'm also pretty sure they don't take animals from other counties. I also agree that you try to find a safe abd loving home before you take it to a no kill shelter.
Dunno u will have to call them
I would take it to the vet. It sounds like there could be something wrong
It's an animal shelter...no
Better to go there and check
what they said
Never knew anything about this but why not a quick phone call and ask instead of dwelling on the unknown or go in and visit the animals and do hands on with the kittens but most cats are having spring labors Bc as of now is breeding season and spring brings out the strays from miles and that's when I hv seen most over load of population but as I hv always said don't buy adopt......blessings
It's rare but sometimes they do
U will have to go there prob
Dunno
really? he only has one eye. If they have one i could go look.
yes
Open 7 days from noon to 6pm
The best way is to go look. They adopt out every day & the animals are always changing. Ignore those who yell @ you I remember. Being a kid once. I can say the animals are well cared for there. Hope this helps sweety. 😃
No reason to get mad jamie. To answer your question you would have to actually call the facility and ask whenbyou post on here you are posting b to the public not the shelter.
Call them to make sure
Call them
U have to call to confirm
Nice
There are always pitties needing homes...I can't imagine they wouldn't have some.☺
U have to call them directly
The best way to find out is to call them or check their. Website
If you go on their website you may see one. They change alot
They probably have no idea what kind of dogs will become homeless and end up in their shelter in the month of October. Best to call and ask
