We are striving every day towards a no-kill status. As the municipal shelter for the county and city, we have to reach and maintain a 90% save rate in order to be able to call ourselves "no-kill." Our statistics have improved drastically through many positive changes we've made over the past couple of years. You can see more specific statistics on our website.
Only because they are releasing cats back out into the wild after they are trapped and brought in. Cats are a top predator.
