The Sound Doctor

I read few good and few bad reviews about the Sound Doctor but I wanted to give him a shot at working on my Fender tube amplifiers. But I wouldn't trust just anyone with them. So I have a vintage Pignose 7-100 amplifier that needs attention and I went through his understandable process and tried to place an appointment of service. In return I received a very cold response of "Sorry, that's not something I'd work on." This individual claims that he works on guiter effects pedals on his website and such effects are a lot more complicated than the circuit of a 7-100. Nevertheless, I reached out to another local amp technician who actually took a moment to explain that they primarily work on nothing but tube amplifiers but took time to steer me to someone that could make repairs my little amp needed. That person needless to say has won my future tube amplifier service. I was warned not to reach out to Sound Doctor for his services but I felt his reputation was mostly caused by people not following his request in setting up an appointment. I gave him a chance, but it would seem he doesn't see the value in future customers.

I took my Blues Jr in for some issues I was having at the time. John told some things that would help the amp so I went with his recommendations and now the amp sounds fantastic. I waited awhile before I left a review. Some months later, the amp just seems to get better. I couldn't be more satisfied with his work. He does a great job!

Absolutely 5 star. Notice how people have rated it one star, it’s because they lack any patience, situational awareness, or tolerance for others. If you want your amp worked on by the best and you have the education and courtesy of at least a 1st grader, THEN GO HERE. The one star reviews, again, are from people who are, for lack of a better term, C U Next TuesdayS.
