I had the best summers of my life growing up at Lake Camanche. Kissed my first girl. Played pinball & air hockey for the first time. I even wrote an essay in high school about me vs the anchored raft that sat right in the middle of what i remember being as big as an ocean. It took me 3 summers to be able to swim to it on my own. I remember sitting on the benches outside on the deck of the arcade - licking on my freshly dispensed soft serve ice cream staring out what seemed a mile away at that stupid raft as it taunted me, daring me to man up...I hated that raft and I loved that raft too....stay tuned for more...

Beautiful, warm lake. Lots of boats. Very crowded on weekends and holidays. Good camping spots too. *Updated May 2022* water is very low, but still consistent with what I posted previously

We have camped in our RV several times. We camp right on the pond. There is plenty of space between sites. The pond is beautiful. There are pelicans, ducks and swans. There are plenty of people fishing around the pond. We have not had any luck. Lol. It's a great place to spend the day or weekend.

In a 8 person site you can put up a maximum of 4 tents but they can't be so large that they go into someone elses site.
There is a station. You will see it when you pull in
Yes, there are many places to run your dog, but you need a leash. There is a fee per dog per day but the view is great and the people are very friendly, so the fee is definitely worth it. Enjoy!
Not that I know of, I've only ever seen boats for rent
Yes ofcourse everything allowed. It's a fun place to go and enjoy. But on weekends has to be there early early morning otherwise they'll be full and not let you in.
So if your camping you can fish all night, but if you plan on fishing past midnight you need to buy a second fishing permit for the next day.
No fee at this time
Yes you can, both charcoal and/or gas is aloud.
I was at South Shore as a non boater. There did not seem to be much in the way of docks and everyone I saw pulled their boat out at night. You can email them. North shore may be different. The water level is low. I will post some pics so you can see.
Not on the water front but a 1 minute drive to the water by car or 10 minute walk
No
Yes for day-use.

Sugarloaf Campground is on South Shore, has a large restroom with free showers, laundry room ($1.50 to wash,$1.50 to dry), the north lakeside of the campground has a protection fence as it has cliffs on that side, the west side has nice swimming cove, all sites have a picnic table, fire ring/bbq, and a pole to hang your lantern. East side of the campground has a trail to a more private beach area. Not too far from the Sugarloaf campground are a basketball court, tennis court, and a volleyball net. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available at the marina store. Enjoy your stay!
I get 3 bars consistently on AT&T. To get a sure answer, download an app called Speedtest by Ookla. Inside the app there is a 'Coverage' tab on the bottom. Press the tab and select your cell provider. The app will then display real world map and show that providers coverage. There you can see where you will and where you wont have said carrier coverage.
You can have 4 tents on an 8-person site.
