Not at the pond. Fishing at the pond ceases after sunset. You can try before sunrise as the gates open at 5am. I wouldn't recommend leaving your gear out to claim a spot. Rather wake up early to claim said spot is better off than wondering why your fishing gear decided to go walking on it's own.
