Great park to visit, camp and ride! We'll definitely return when it's not too hot. We did have a SXS break down before the gate to the trails was locked. Site ranger was very kind and she didn't seem bothered by our request to unlock the gate.

Very nice lake! Husband took me for anniversary and we stayed in a cabin. Cabin is clean, a/c works great and quickly, staff at check-in very friendly. Drove around and checked out the camp sites for tent and trailers and they are very nice! Quite a variety of sites to choose from! The beaches seem clean, the bathrooms were clean. All in all, Lake Murray is very nice and we can't wait to go back and get on the lake and relax!! There's historical buildings to check out as well. There seem to be several hiking trails which interest us however we didn't have time to check those out yet.

Beautiful modern style lodge. Directly across water park trampolines, kayaking, much more. Beach area for over nighters in walking distance of Lodge. Prices are fair for outdoor activities. Front desk is super helpful. Restaurant on premises but is seasonal. Tons of trails to explore!

Pretty cool place to take the family. We stayed at the cabins which was older but relaxing from the city life. We went hiking, dirt bike riding and spent some time in the nearby town of Ardmore. There are some cool antique stores and small restaurants. Since this is a small older town things close a bit early. The cabins are pet friendly as well as the hiking trails. During the spring and summer months they have boat rentals, a pool, and mini golf. There is a restaurant onsite called Foggy Bottoms Kitchen. Good food.

They do. However not in glass containers
I've seen horse trailers and horses at field trial area but don't think there are pens
Great question! Yes, fishing is allowed, but you will need a fishing license.
I only rented some cabins ,but I know ski jump landing I've went to my whole childhood. I think reasonable 🤔
Yes you can. Most require dogs to be leashed and to pick up after your dogs poop. I would bring proof of vaccination just in case (I keep a file on a my phone for our dogs so we always have the proof with us).
We had no WiFi access at our campsite. May be available closer to the main lodge.
SRC MysticWolf why even reply then?
Can do that thank you everyoneappreciate it
Actually Elephant Rock not cove. There is cedar Cove, tipps point and Elephant Rock. The trails are in the elephant rock campsite.
Their website should have all the info you need or call them & talk to someone directly. Have fun!!!!!
State park, no boating fees. There is one premium area with a nice boat ramp and swim beach called Elephant Rock... that area charges $5 per person. There are plenty of other launch sites that are free.
Try "By the Lake" rv park in Overbrook, OK. Just minutes from lake murray
No, it has been raining for 3 days. There are grills and firepits at most sites.
I paid $14 to tent camp in Buzzards
I can't answer that question I'm not from Oklahoma my husband and I go to the lake sometimes coming from the casino it's really beautiful
Not if you just drive around the lake. You would only have to pay to park if you pull in and park for long periods of time.If you pull in just to use the restroom you don't have to pay to park.
Don't know, I never stay in the cabins
Yes..nice areas
It was an amoeba that increases in population when water becomes stagnant. As long as there is fresh water coming into Lake, there is no danger from this amoeba. In times of drought, the springs & creeks that feed into Lake Murray dry up. No fresh water comes into lake & t gets stagnant. It was prevalent in all the lakes & ponds in OK from 2007-2016. From 2017 til the present time, the springs & runoff have been supplying an adequate amount of fresh water to keep this amoeba from being dangerous. We swam there June 1-4 & the water had never been fresher.
When we went all was open during Christmas
Go to this site to find out, http://www.lake-murray.org/state-park/
Yes they do. Stayed in one about 10 years ago very outdated then, but very clear and comfortable.
Check their website or give them a call. Have fun!
They have every year so far and they usaully have it at the lodge
Don't think so
Not very far. I would suggest that you look at Google maps with the satellite layer turned on. As far as camping on the shore of the lake I have seen people do it but I don't know if it was legal. I would definitely check park rules beforehand. It is a fantastic place!
I don't know you should probably call their office. I can only give you directions on Google MAPS....
Very Beautiful right now & Not to high
No
First come first serve for tent sites. RV sites can be reserved.
They should be...I would call the park to make certain.
I think so.
Just there today and the trees have peaked. Leaves are falling.
Unless something has been added recently, I do not believe there are any cleaning stations at Murray.
Yes
At that atv part u a camping site with everything u need to camp electric, water, plus u have a slab u park ur rv on. Then u ride ur atv to the office pay to ride and after u ride just ride it back to ur camp site.Google Ardmore atv riding. It is one of the cleaniest, nice place, very nice people work there.
You can stay in one campsite for a max of two weeks. Then you'll have to move to another campsite if you plan on staying longer.
We drove up from Texas for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it. It was clean, quiet, very peaceful. Planning on many more trips this year.
Depends on the site and services. Some are as low as $19, preferred with full hookups and water access go for $28. Some sites can be reserved online, while others are first come, first serve.
