We had the unfortunate experience of our garage door breaking down on us with our cars still inside after coming home from work. The door was unable to open on its own because one of the springs broke. My wife needed her car for work at 8:00 in the morning.Called other garage door repair places and no one was able to come till about 10:00. Garage Door Medics went out of their way to make sure someone was there at 7:00. They were very professional and called and texted half hour before arriving. Even texted a bio of the person who would be doing the repairs. Arrived exactly on time and assessed and explained the problem. Gave us the quote and was done fast and efficiently. My wife was able to get to work on time. We didn't have the luxury of comparing prices but the cost was explained and seemed fair. I would highly recommend Garage Door Medics.

Rick, the installer, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our old door opener was dead and he got us into a new one for a good price and installed it on the spot. Very satisfied. Highly recommended.

I had a issue with my garage door closing. Mid way down it would stop and open back up. I called Garage Door Medics and scheduled an appointment. The tech was super friendly and I was sent information about tech prior to arriving. I told my issue and my thoughts as to what may be the problem. The tech tried some tests and discovered it was something different and showed me the issue. He took care of the problem and didn’t try to recommend anything beyond the repair. The tech was so precise and knowledgeable about my garage doors that I asked for a tune up on by doors. After he finished he told about the condition of each door and what I was original and what has been replaced by previous owner. I felt confident and grateful that I was in good hands. I would definitely use this company for my future repairs on my garage doors. I would recommend this company over big name companies because you get to notch service at a fair price.

Check the spring chart in the installation instructions for your door. You will find the correct number of turns for doors up to 8’ tall with standard track installation.

I can hear the electric motor working, but why is my garage door not opening?

If you can hear the electric motor working, but the belt or chain isn’t moving, you might have stripped gears. Most garage door openers have plastic gears, and constant friction wears them out so they can’t pull the belt or chain.
