Beautiful hotel with tons of things to do around the hotel. Perfect for someone who loves shopping and good Austin food.

The atmosphere was nice and the hotel was very clean. Beautiful hotel. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the good review ends there. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby. Paid 68$ Each for 3 inedible steaks covered in so much spice and salt you couldn’t tell they were steaks. The manager was the worst however. We have a service dog with us. He asked what job he performed which is illegal as hell. We told him and he finally left but what the hell? Why don’t you ask a person in a wheelchair why they’re in a wheelchair? The next morning we put out breakfast door tag out before midnight. Nobody picked it up. If we hadn’t had to take the dog out and seen it was still there then I guess we wouldn’t have gotten breakfast and we had a meeting that morning. The eggs were beyond over cooked. So in general yes we love the hotel but the kitchen and it’s manager need some work apparently.

Well this was disappointing. My husband and I had a Valentine’s stay scheduled here in February 2021, when it started snowing and snowing and snowing. We canceled, thank goodness as that turned into Snowmageddon 2021. TLDR, we finally made it here last weekend. And it was suuuuuper disappointing. A list: 1. Good: sheets were very smooth and comfortable. 2. Good: The bathroom was a good size. 3. Good: The person who checked us in was very friendly. 4. Bad: The room was tiny. NYC is known for tiny hotel rooms, and I think this was smaller than any hotel rooms I’ve had there. Pretty much the king bed and room to walk on either side of it. 5. Terrible: The music. Oh my the music. The overall satisfaction with the hotel is so high that for the first time in my life I didn’t read the reviews. How I wish I had. Apparently there is a “quiet” side of the hotel, and then there is the Rock Rose facing side of the hotel. That side, where our room was situated, was exposed to club music until 2 am. It. Was. Horrible. Being away from our children together for the first time in 4 years, our number 1 priority was sleep. That did not happen. 6. Highly suspicious: The person who checked us out the next morning did not ask how our stay was. I’m convinced he already knew. Typically I would have asked to move rooms. However, in my 1am research of the hotel, I learned that my request would likely be denied. It didn’t seem worth it to wake up my husband (who it turned out, had finally just fallen asleep despite the music.) Again, just truly disappointed by the entire evening. I can’t recommend. Oh, and I didn’t put location on the list above—I really enjoy the Domain/Northside (we live in Austin and I’m here often) so that piece is a big plus. But apparently the proximity to Rock Rose is a huge minus.

I was very impressed with the style and cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. This place very modern and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located around all the great shopping and dining in the domain.
