8/4/2022 UPDATE - I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last couple of years... and while initially I had a good experience, my impression of this hotel is going down fast. I had previously pointed out the need for Marriott to refurbish this hotel. I can safely say that time has now come and gone. Please see the latest pictures I took just yesterday of the room I was assigned. And I am a Bonvoy Gold Elite member. You can clearly see the damage/wear & tear in the room. Not what is expected from a Marriott property. I don't even know how this room passes the housekeeping/maintenance test for a room that is ready for guests. Puts a blot on Marriott's brand. Also, I had previously pointed out the breakfast as lacking. Based on today's experience, I can tell you the breakfast options are quite poor (quality and availability). There was no milk for cereal and no one bothered to bring more out until I asked. There was just paltry options. The value for money at this hotel is just not there. I continued to stay at this hotel only because of previously great experiences with staff (especially at the front desk). Now now it seems, from my experience, even the staff have stopped caring about customer satisfaction. Very poor experience so far. Likely will not return to this hotel again. PREVIOUS COMMENTS: overall, a very good hotel... a great option for this part of town. front desk staff was great... especially Ashton. He treated us great and addressed all asks. Nice rooms with a full kitchen with lots of space... very comfortable for an extended stay. Breakfast is a little lacking, not too many options. After the first day experience, we started buying our own breakfast from the nearby HEB supermarket. Plus, staff in the breakfast area were not wearing masks... even coughing at times. The rooms and furniture do show lots of signs of aging... Marriott must refurbish this hotel soon.

Friendly enough front desk, and a clean property, but lots of little things made our stay just ‘OK’. Not enough parking (had to park at building next door), below avg breakfast options (even considering COVID restrictions), and unusably slow WIFI. Our room was clean, but showed signs of wear (paint chips, dented furniture). Not up to Marriott standards.

The staff, hotel and room itself were great. Very nice hotel. I am disappointed, however on the breakfast set up. It was was nothing but packaged items ….. boxed cereal, boxed oatmeal, packaged egg sandwiches etc. our goal was to be able to eat a small breakfast before getting back on the road but are now inconvenienced with having to stop for a decent breakfast.

I struggle to rate this place because the rooms are great and it’s actually a great Residence Inn… my issue is with the front desk and the overall management of reservations. We had a large group of families staying here. The local family member who was getting married that weekend booked several two bedroom rooms (close together) months before the wedding. We called multiple times, weeks before and even the week of to confirm the reservation was secured (they continually told us it was). The day we arrived we were told that they had given one of the two bedroom rooms that we had reserved away… they didn’t seem to care, and really ruined the vibe for us and really stressed the wedding party out. They tried to remedy the situation by giving us two one bedroom rooms but we ended up having one room very far away from the rest of the families. Again the stay was good, the hotel was nice, but this experience left me with a negative opinion of the hotel

There are your average fast-food chains near there. We ate at The Oasis which serves Mexican food. Their food is delicious and the views are beautiful because their restaurant sits over Lake Travis.
