The repair process was fine. The technician courteous and on time. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN. They replaced a 30$ part they charged me 400$ and spent an hour on premise. I moved the stacked dryer and provided a shop vac to remove water. The process is slow: they come and assess (15 min), order parts then come after the parts arrive. A 2 week process at best. They give a day, a range between 8-5P and call 20 min prior on the day. All told a drain pump was replaced. We have 2 machines and I’d done the exact repair the week prior on our other machine. I kept the appointment mostly out of curiosity. If you have never done anything before nor have any interest in trying—then I can recommend Sears Home Services. Otherwise , use appliancevideo.com for a step-by-step, machine specific video and get OEM parts from Amazon in 2 days. Again, I did need to order a gasket wrench from Amazon but otherwise standard Phillips bit, drill and needle nose were sufficient. 60$ and 2 hours over 2 days accomplished the same results.

If I could give Sears Repair a negative number I certainly would. The did not come on day given. You. An only talk to a person in the Philippines and they can not help at all. It was a disaster. Then I tried to return a $166.00 part that was not used and have tried 6 times to return it. Do not use them.

I had a scheduled service for 11/1 from 8-5. I informed the person that I would not be home, but someone in my house would be. He contacted me and told me he would be there in 15 minutes. 50 minutes later, after a chat with the online person, I received a reschedule for 11/15. I cancelled. 14 days later to have my dryer fixed? No thank you. Unprofessional, lack of communication. Darryl has a rating of 4.3 so I was hopeful. I even called him to tell him there was payment waiting for him at my house. No return call, oh well! I’ll pay a ma and pa shop!

Repairman showed up without needed part. Total waste of money. Probably not his fault. He ordered the part for me but it has not arrived yet.
