So pretty. But be careful if you get close to the water. Super sharp seashells and we seen a snake in the rocks.

Nice county park on the water and great sunset. It has restrooms in the center and multiple pavilions and picnic areas with picnic tables, electric outlets, water faucets, and trash bins. Everything was clean (unfortunately, except the restrooms). Free for picnicking, with a fee for camping.

Great little place to launch a boat, camp overnight with a tagalong or 5th wheel and do some fishing too!

Horseshoe Beach is a perfect little place to come and take a quite walk under some amazing houses on stilts. We had our pups along for a visit to the park in which they do allow. The atmosphere in the small town kinda buzzes even in the winter. Weather your here to fish or pull up to a nice place to take a snooze. Horseshoe Beach should be on your to do list in Florida.

I felt the same when I went. And it smelled horrible. Where would you suggest going?
There is not 547 sites, only 7 but really beutiful sun sets
The campsites are first come first serve what we always used to do is we take it there in the morning to make sure we have a spot it's a beautiful Campground it's just so much fun you get to see the sunsets and sunrises it's it's amazing they've built a brand new pure out there so you can go fishing way out on the Suwannee you'll love it you're really love it you probably don't want to spend just a day you need to spend probably a week that's what we always did so enjoyable you can sit out out the sand and with your chairs and have a beer or whatever you want it's pretty amazing don't forget your camera and fishing poles
No. It's not full hookup. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash, and pickup after them.
You can swim there if you want... dodge the boat traffic and the water is not clear. Shired Island camp ground has a much better beach, water is about the same.
The rates are $20 a night . Unless your a resident of Dixie Co. Then its $10. It's first come and only 8 sites i think?? Water and electricity. Bathhouse and restroom. For men / women. Nice boat ramp. We love it!
No. Basically it's a bid cul de sac at the end of a short road with a boat ramp, a couple of picnic buildings and a public restroom with shower. I think there is a fee if you spend the night but only if someone shows up. They didn't when I was there.
Yes and no it used to be a “clothing optional beach” and it was hagens cove but given that it’s really the only beach near by and so my family’s and kids go there that is no longer an option.
