My husband walks with a Walker so I was looking for a place to take him where he could use his walker. The park was wonderful. They had a Pier that he could walk out on and just smell the Fresh Ocean Air. It was not crowded so it was easy for him to get around. There were some people there fishing but not many.

If you like parks as my wife and I do this is a beautiful place to go nice fishing pier nice boat dock to launch your boat nice area too have lunch this is the place to go highly recommend

The boat launch and docks are very nice. It was a very pleasant place to launch out of while we were on vacation in Florida and visiting friends. Lots of wildlife. Saw two dolphins in second minimum wake zone on the way out. There are decent restrooms and a good sized fishing pier. Had 2 very nice days on the boat out of Fort Island Trail.

I haven't seen any signs saying they're not allowed. As long as leashed should be fine. They are allowed at the beach so..
The park closes at night but not sure if there is anyone checking it at nights. You should be fine for one night I think

The ramp is nice but if you draft more than a foot, I would recommend the ramp further up the river. It dumps directly into the river from the channel. To use the ramp at Fort Island, you have to know the channels very well.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week
We usually take the boat all the way out into the Gulf around marker 17 or 15 just off the edge where the grass is. Have had a lot of good luck out there , but I've also had no bite at all.
