Carlos was amazing, I was lucky to find an amazing frame. As they have great collection and I am so looking forward to revisit again. If you are looking for some high end trendy frames, I would highly recommend to visit.

I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to given my experiences, which aren't limited to the River North location. The positive is that I'll probably go back because they have a great, rare selection of frames. If it weren't for the employees, I'd give them 5 stars. If it weren't for the selection, I'd give them 1 star. Moral of the story - hire new employees and/or put (most of) the current employees under intensive technical and communicative training. The customers' experience will only be as good as the employee they're dealing with. Regarding the doctors - I had an eye exam with Julie Klein at the River North location. She had a very off-putting, rude personality. When I told her the lens wasn't as clear as it should be, she responded numerous times with "this is what you had, this is what I found." For someone dealing with people daily, you'd think she'd have some sense of basic communication skills, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Long story short, I retook the eye exam at the Roscoe village location and the doctor, Jen, gave me a better prescription. Regarding the sales people, there are a few nice, well-informed salesmen, but that doesn't appear to be the norm. I don't know how some of these people got hired. One employee didn't know what photochromic was, another didn't know the difference between CR-39 and polycarbonate, and another was firmly disallowing me to take a look at frames without assistance. The worst was one employee knowingly tried to steal the JMM sale from the employee that initially showed me the frames. This particular employee was whining things like "once you find one you like you need to buy! You can't come in and out! Buy now if you like it or it will be gone within an hour!" ... blah blah blah, trying so hard to get the sale. She wanted the sale so bad she even called another store to bring the frame to her location without asking me. I don't know if these employees had any formal training. I just ended up buying the frames from the original, nice employee.
