Just had a visit B+ in medical professionalism I mentioned I had eye pain and cloudy vision she resolved it saying I just needed a prescription for the pain and recommended me to a glaucoma specialist for the cloudy vision. I did ask for a doctors note because It affected my ability to learn in school so I needed it for missing assignments because I can only see 5 inches in-front of my face and she clearly diagnosed “the pain and migraines as a result of my eyes straining to see” so how am I going to do work if I can’t function properly, she also kind of snapped at me when I asked pretty politely. But I said it’s at your discretion and left without a doctors note and late assignments I will now be held accounted for, oh well I guess I’ll have to take it.

(2022) Well I just learned you can't write more than one review for the same place, even after two years. Ridiculous, Google. Anyway, I recently visited the Logan shop for a pair of sunglasses. Speed (name of the super helpful and knowledgeable manager) has recruited a top notch crew capable of outfitting the pickiest of customers (me) in no time. Speed has known me for a few years now and I'd expect nothing less than quality recs from this man, as he is a brilliant optician, but I was pleasantly surprised by Ireland's thoughtful suggestions. The three of us chatted about the best option for me, and I walked out of there very happy with my new pair of sunglasses. Beyond providing another delightful shopping experience, the crew at the Logan shop are wonderful people and emblematic of what Logan is all about. (2020) I went to CustomEyes for my first eye exam in years (irresponsible, I know, especially for someone with terrible eyesight like myself) and was thoroughly impressed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. I also purchased my first pair of glasses in a decade from CustomEyes with the help of a Mr. Speed Best. This man is certainly the most competent and helpful optician I have ever met, and my experience working with him may go down as one of the Best customer service experiences I have ever had. Let me explain: I spent several months carefully deliberating what I perceived to be a very important investment in my appearance, comfort, and personal style that could potentially last well into my 30s. This included upwards of a dozen pop-ins in which Speed was more than willing to share his knowledge and advice as I tried on many, many pairs of glasses. I was on a budget and I cared deeply, possibly too much, about how my first pair of glasses in years would affect my persona, and it was only after about 5 months that I realized I was a high maintenance customer, albeit hopefully a pleasant one. I also enjoyed my brief interactions with Marissa and Dr. Klein. They sure know how to staff at the Logan Square location. I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially if you see Speed and Dr. Rahman.

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences and great services at CusomEyes and would absolutely recommend them. I recently had an urgent need and was able to meet quickly with Dr. Hanacek. I was treated with great care and attention by Dr. Hanacek and the store manager. It was an excellent provider experience.

UPDATE: Working with the store manager to get a new pair of glasses. He has been very kind and knowledgeable throughout the process so hopefully the issues I had with the initial pair will be resolved. Worked with a newer woman at the store who barely went over the details and policies of buying here - she did not mention that there is a policy of NO REFUNDS. Which is horrible because after multiple weeks and an additional adjustment on my glasses from someone else in the store since she didn't know what she was doing, I'm still getting headaches and am unable to read. Definitely not worth it for the price, and I will likely never come back here again.
