I must say I’ve had a few attorneys in my life but Arianna Eddy is by far the best I’ve ran into. She communicated with me whenever I had a question (which was a lot🙂) And she explained exactly what was to happen. My whole life is changing because of these expungements! I feel so grateful to Iowa legal aide and Ms Eddy. I’m humbled and smiling again. I finally can stop explaining myself about things that happened 25 years ago! Thank you!

Iowa Legal Aid is federally funded, and limited on where they are able to have offices. Due to funding being taken, Legal Aid has had to close two offices down since I've been aware of their services. If we are being realistic, the 7 locations of Legal Aid are located in cities of roughly at least 5 times the size of Osceola. I believe the office that sees over that city is in Council Bluffs. The purpose of this is to help as many people as possible. You can still call or do an online intake with Legal Aid, all attorneys they hire are state licensed and could practice in Oceola.

If one parent Has sole custodyOf his children in the mom has her right but has to contest the courts for visitation due to being locked up can she still go see kids at school even if court order says she has to cotest court for visitation

Ok I was followed and belittled and was impeded from filming and and was pushed in the process as far as I know all these things are a violation of the law.All the long all was doing was a legally protected activity do I have have to file charges

Thank you I tried to file charges on the security guard and the response I got was that what I was doing insights trouble even though it is a constitutionally protected activity and that he was justified in breaking the law I just don't know where this world is going.

If a person buys a home and all info states city sewer--- years later it turns out it is on septic. No septic inspection was done pre-sale what is the recourse?

So, as a non attorney I'm not able to help with Legal Questions. In this case, as one of their volunteers I'd recommend getting your question answered by an attorney by calling in or asking their answering secretary for the number for simple legal questions.

Does Iowa law allow tenants to withhold rent? If an issue has been addressed to the landlord and they have had almost a year to fix but haven't. The issue is most definitely a health concern.

This I don't know you would need to call them or go to legal aid. I walked in and seen a sternly that same day you will have to fiil out papers first then they meet with you did not cost me any thing .

I've been with a young lady for twenty years and have kids with her,we are not married and the house we live in is in my name ,we broke up ,does that mean she can get the house even though her name isn't on the deed.
