I have never had to provide any “proof” of address for a DL change. Relatively painless process.
1) Do I need to make an appointment? Someone said you were only doing scheduled renewals. 2) Are renewals 30 days before or 30 days after the birthday.

You do need an appointment. I'm not sure about the other questions, but I'm fairly certain you still have 30 days after to renew.

Last I was there, sign said they were by appointment. But I didn't know that until I showed up. They were very accommodating and got me in and out. Very friendly, helpful staff

They open at 7:30 am or you can pay online. I believe there's an extra charge to have them mailed to you.
My liscence actually expired 12/14/2018 and now it's 1 week past the 60 day grace period. Do I have to retake the written test and what kind of penalties am I looking at?
