I love this place! I have been coming here since I was young. The parking needs to be expanded and reorganized but the scenery here especially in the fall is otherworldly. Truly blissful to come here and spend even an hour or two. Fair warning, the weekends are the most difficult to find parking but worth the wait!!!

Heron, pair of otters, muskrats, turtles, and fall colors! No picnics allowed.

A must visit Tennessee State Park with a variety of different historic areas. If your lucky, you'll get to see some wildlife. One of the photos with this has some deer, if you can spot them. I will return each and every time I visit Nashville.

Beautiful park with a variety of great walking trails. First time we came it was the middle of winter and we didn’t see much wildlife but this time around, in the middle of October, we saw several deer (really close up), two snakes, a big group of turkeys, lots of birds and turtles, and even an armadillo. The autumn foliage was stunning! The visitor center is also nice. Only downside is the parking - even getting there fairly early, if it’s a weekend and the weather is nice, there’s probably going to be a wait for a parking spot. The park is worth it, though!

Percy priest lake has grills and picnic tables. Lots of recreation areas. Radnor is a protected wildlife area.
Dogs are allowed on 2 miles of roadway that is closed to vehicle traffic which includes otter creek road and the road on the Dam. These areas are the best views of the lake and are great opportunities to walk your dog at this state natural area. State park rangers hike all of the trails daily and would like to thank all of our dog owners who comply with our posted rules/regulations in advance!
No boats are allowed on the lake. The only way you can is through a ranger-led program
Chances are somewhere between January and March. Agree with you David
It is a wildlife preserve, so fishing is prohibited.
not not allowed
No monthly rate no camping or fishing just hiking there beautiful area
No. It's not allowed.
Bikes and baby strollers are only permitted on the lakeside paved road, not on the trails.
I saw a sign that specifically said no weddings. Sorry ☹
No swimming is allowed there.
Parking is free
When I was there it was with social distancing and mask requirements. As you may already know, these things change between businesses and management.
Only on the street surrounding the park. Not on the trails.
No fishing or swimming or boating. It's a wildlife reserve.
No, also the lake is populated by snapping turtles, water birds, and snakes.
10 to 15 miles
No but there are beautiful paths at Warner park near Cheekwood
The trails through the woods were very much hiking trails. There is a paved walking/running/cycling trail.
No it's a protected nature reserve
From their site - "Yes, there are “all-terrain” wheelchairs available in the Visitors’ Center, making the lake trail accessible for all."
You can not fish, or enter the water. But you can do it in Edwin Warner Park. It's the Harpeth River, but it's close to the Radnor.
You can always have your food and snacks in the parking lot but not inside the park
To the best of my knowledge it's dawn until dusk. Depends seasonally.
Daylight hours only.
There are 2 trails.one is easy which lasts for 30 mins across the lake..and the other is difficult trail which is trekking through the mountains which last for 45 mins to an hour at max...
No, you cannot lodge there. The canoes are for when the ranger holds events & takes people out on the lake. Check their website for details.
The visitor center is open from 8:30 to 4, and closed for the lunch hour.
Drones are not allowed at Radnor Lake State Natural Area as they interfere with park visitors experiences and with our wildlife such as bald eagles visiting the lake.
Per the website "Pets, jogging and bicycles are only allowed on the Otter Creek Road trail."
No they are not, we went there and it was raining, you will enjoy. BTW not seen all the trails but hope the same for all.
