Really small visitor center which we went to in 2017 but gives a lot of information about the temple. As it was erected and built in the town of Saint George, Utah. The information is detailed and the ads are awesome.

We have been here on Sunday many times.
No plenty of people in regular clothes at the Visitor Center and Tabernacle
They don't offer a scheduled story time, but there are many kid friendly interactive displays that have stories, games, and videos. The volunteers are usually great with kids as well and would be happy to tell your kids about anything that interests them. My kids wanted to know how many languages they had audio for at the Christus statue and they let us listen to all of them!
