This agency left Rica Rountree in the care of her father and stepmother. Cynthia Clay and Richard Rountree . Rica Rountree Is now deceased. Two different quality Unit 5 schools contacted this agency between the two 6 times total of physical abuse against Rica. DCFS did nothing to help Rica. Rica suffered two black eyes and the DCFS told the step mother Cynthia to take Rica to the doctor. Cynthia informed them she didn’t have time. No one from DCFS asked for an accident report nor followed up with Rica’s father. I guess they didn’t ask because they lived in a $150,000 house and the DCFS worker was too busy or just didn’t care🤷🏽‍♀️ Rica’s father allowed the abuse to go on and did nothing to help his daughter. The step mother continued to abuse Rica and until she died😔 This beautiful little girl at the age of 8 is gone😢. I hope and pray the DCFS employee and supervisor were fired🙏🏽 This should have never happened to Rica.
