I got my hearing done last Oct 2021 and still have yet to hear back of my driving privileges. We are in July 2022 now. Last time I actually spoke to someone they said that it was still under review and that I should hear back within 30 days. Said they were backed up due to covid. This was in April. Now every time I call I get no answer or a busy signal.

The individual that conducts the hearings that has a full sleeve running down his arm and looks like he hates life needs to find another career path, because conducting a hearing requires professionalism along with a subjective outlook included. This individual will gaslight the entire hearing simply just to have control, and doesn’t care to have the substance to hear anything, but responses that consist of 2-3 words. By judging the people in the waiting room dressed as if they just left the bar, I figured he would have at least appreciated someone that had a professional career, and that dressed for the occasional(Everyone that was in the waiting room looked the they haven’t showered in months). I explained throughly why i needed relieve, given the job I had as an educational consultant, which required a 45 minute commute, and the fact I completed the required classes needed, Which I thought would have been sufficient enough to provide me driving relief with a BAID, because essentially there is no risk on their behalf for providing that, and he could have verified I contributed to society, but that hearing officer seems as if he has been there to long and gets off on his minimal authority in small town USA. I reapplied for another hearing, which i decided to go to Springfield for obvious reason, and the hearing and outcome was completely different than the one in Mt.Vernon. The people were able to listen without an agenda, and actually conducted a professional hearing to understand my situation and understood that I am a citizen of Illinois that is productive with his life, opposed to many that leave this state because of people that hold authority in Illinois, which contributing to the state doesn’t have it benefits. I am only giving this review 2 stars, simply because the office workers were extremely kind and made up for the the -2 I would have given captain full sleeve. Word of advise, you are a hearing officer, not a high end judge trying a verdict of a murder trial. Relax and listen, and quit contributing to running off hard working professionals out of Illinois.

After trying to contact them for 2 weeks I finally get a hold of them and they tell me, they have had all the paperwork for 30 days and don't know why it wasn't forwarded and now it will be 2 more weeks. Total incompetence.
