I had a car transferred from another state. Took about 10 days to complete and be ready for pickup. At delivery Overall a easy process to complete the sale. However driving home I noticed some brake grinding and soon after I received a warning that my rear brakes pads need replaced. Should have been caught on their inspection. I live 2 hours away. Also found today the coolant reservoir is nearly empty, the trim ring around one headlight is held on with Velcro mounting squares. Update - the service manager was east to work with. I can use a local shop that they have dealt with before for the inspection and repairs. They will pay for what’s needed. Update 2 car took 10 days to repair because parts had to be orders. All 4 rotors and pads were badly worn. Invisibly at a glance could tell. No coolant leak but it makes me wonder why it was low. What repair was done? I’ll have to get ahold of a mini or bmw dealer to find out the actual repair history. They also didn’t include my Iowa registration fee which they should have. So I had another $188 out of pocket for that. They were polite and responsive about the whole thing. But still a big hassle for 3 things that shouldn’t have been missed.

My journey started with selling them my old car, just wasn’t what I thought it would be so I decided to sell it and start over. I had never been to a Carmax before and honestly it was a nice change. I had no intention of buying from them upon entry just because I had not thought that far ahead at the time. Upon arrival we talked about what they had to offer and it was not long before I drove out in a new car. Sadly due to some minor issues it turned out to be the wrong car for me but they have a 30 day return or exchange policy and they bent over backwards to find me exactly what I needed. They got me into something else that worked better for me and went out of their way to make everything quick and easy. I can honestly say I have never purchased a vehicle from a nicer more caring group of people. It was an amazing experience, and I will definitely return!

Masks, sanitizer and large spaces between tables. Curbside service and home delivery options. Well done. All employees were inserved to be wearing masks. Tables and xounters utilized plexiglass dividers.
You will have to show them proof that you have the funds for your down payment, I had to pull up my bank account information to show them.
CarMax does not do consignment; however, they will buy your car from you - even if you do not buy from them. Their purchase offer was quite fair, slightly above the Kelly Blue Book reported trade-in value. The process took less than an hour.
