so, i used to take my car to the chesapeake location for an oil change before it was even tire choice. i never had any problems- i thought. i took it to the elizabeth city location for an oil change because that is closer. within 10 mins of me dropping it off they were calling me to tell me my oil filter house was broken and leaking and that whoever changed my oil before must have broken it. well “whoever changed it before” was still that company, just the chesapeake location. obviously the chesapeake location (who we called) said they didn’t. whatever. and then told me the price of what it would be if they fixed it and i just couldn’t afford it. i went and bought a piece from another store, had them put it in and do the oil change. everything was fine. a month later my oil light comes on which doesn’t make sense. i call them and tell them and he said bring it in. i was mad at this point because it had only been a month. they get it up on the lift, and again call me to tell me the piece i bought is now leaking and they basically had to do a whole other oil change which for my car is $100. then i was just livid. the guy up front was very nice and very apologetic because they couldn’t actually fix the part because it’s not their part, which i understand. that’s fine. this was last week they did the second oil change. we decided we were gonna take it to another mechanic, my dad pops the hood to find out if he would be able to put the new piece in at home and immediately stops and says did they ever tell you that you have a coolant leak? no. they did not. i was never informed. my reservoir is just about empty and i was never informed of this. i do not recommend taking your car to this company.
