Takes 2 hours but worth it. Ocracoke Island is pretty too.
DONNA TONEY
It would have been nice to have received an alert by text message, email or phone to let us know our ferry to Ocracoke was the last for the day. We ended up having to drive all the way around the mainland 5 hours or just not go to Ocracoke! We found out when we pulled up & waited until someone came to the booth at check in. π’

It is quite an adventure, I recommend it.

Parking attendant at the Ocracoke side was rude and unprofessional. We made the mistake of getting out of the standby line for the 1pm ferry because we thought we saw the ferry leave at 1 pm and thought the ferry left. There was no communication and they stopped taking cars. Plus we already had a 5:30 reservation as a fallback. Actually we saw the swan quarter ferry depart. The attendant yelled at us βwhy did we get out of her lineβ, ordered us to park on the right and boarded all 1 pm standby except us. As a result we ended up driving back at late at night (we got back at 1:30 am) with two children ages 4 and 7. I donβt care if OβNeal is a well known name on Ocracoke island, you donβt have the right to deny anyone access to a ferry if there is room. Your actions put all 8 of our family at risk. Iβll drive around on I-95 next time.

Yes but you have to m as ke reservations and the fees will be higher . Best to NC Ferry System to be sure ...if they take 18 wheelers I'm sure your vehicle would be good.
One dollar for a 2 hour 15 minute ride
All vehicles under 20ft ride for the same price (and if you're longer than that, there's simply a surcharge up to 45ft). If your corvette has a limited approach or departure angle, it could be difficult to get it loaded and unloaded -- may want to call ahead and discuss in detail with the outstanding staff. If you do make it on, I believe the current recommendation is to put the convertible top up for the ferry crossing. Good luck!
I don't know about a code. But I do know you can just pay when you get there.I went on without prepay.Good luck and enjoy the ride!
Yes and if they are a service dog they use the same rules as everyone else does
