Drove Route 66, stopped for breakfast at Range Cafe. Got Blue Corn Pancakes (blueberries and toasted pine nuts) and Green Chile Chicken Egg-chiladas. The pancakes were good and the potatoes too. Employees were friendly. Also got the Green Chili Apple Pie slice

Good location. Easy access in and out. Good variety of food for everyone. Clean atmosphere. This was about the best. Our server started out good but went downhill after greeting. Was spare to check on us. Way too much green chile in everything. Should make an option to add to plate if you want. The sandwiches needed more meat on them. Very lacking for what you pay. My friend got the tacos and they were sitting for a while. When she picked them up all the meat just fell out the bottom of the taco. Very disappointed in the desserts. Out of several things we wanted. The bread pudding was cold and was dry. Like cut up bread pieces. No sauce hardly. Probably not a place i would eat at again.

Somewhat disappointing this visit. First, they have stopped serving breakfast after 3. Please bring it back - it has been my go-to here for a long time. Second, I tried the shrimp and grits and asked for no heat. It arrived full of the chorizo sausage. I could not really eat it. I have loved the Range over the years. I know covid and lack of staff has made it difficult. I hope things can get back to the usual high standard of food. Our easier was excellent t.

I get it, places are busy. We don't mind waiting when in a pleasant atmosphere. We waited up front to be sat only to have the hostess make us feel like intruders. After she threw down the menus we asked to be seated further in the dining room to avoid the high traffic area and the placement under a vent blowing cold air. The entire place was so cold that some of the servers and the hostess who seated us were in winter jackets. Our server was very busy and took over 10 minutes to acknowledge us, but was very pleasant and obviously busy. She stayed pleasant for the duration of the meal. We come in more for dinner and desert so we have only experienced breakfast 3 or four times. The food would have been better hot, was Luke warm at best. The the temp of the restaurant may have helped to contribute. We will consider it an off day and the server made up for it and I know had we asked for out food to be reheated she would have obliged. It was just a matter of time at this point. After working a 14 hour shift at the hospital, I needed to get my Grandfather home and myself home and to bed.
