Stellar wifi, great staff, solid breakfast, solid convenience shop. Gnarly facility with what seems to be a mold problem. Hopefully the revenue from overcharging is put towards making this place worth 200/night. The current room updates are a step in the right direction but the hotel was fully booked with unfinished rooms. Pictures are from the third room. We got moved from the first one because it didn’t match what we booked (whirlpool bath) and had to be transferred again. This was because the second room (with a not so impressive garden tub and jets) had a very musty smell that filled the room whenever the AC kicked on and struggled to cook the room. I suspect some sort of mold in the AC unit as it culminated in a pounding headache that went away after we switched rooms. We were advised about the fresh coat of paint before the final room swap began, but we imagined that painters tape would be removed and the smoke detector would be installed. I’m sure the front desk staff would have rectified the situation and I did have the chance to look at the room before the swap was official. Honestly I was just tired at that point and would have done anything to get out of that second room. If I had noticed the mold on the ceiling that first night I probably would have driven 45 or so minutes to stay at somewhere I could trust a bit better. Based on the staff and the direction of the updates, I’m rooting for this hotel. But for the rate I paid I just cannot recommend it to someone else without some warning. We don’t know the area and with how high the rates were we thought we were staying at one of the best hotels in town. We figured anywhere nearby with cheaper rates would have bigger issues and that feeling of being trapped definitely soured this groomsmen’s wedding vacation experience.

Overall, a good experience. The rates on the weekend are disproportionately high as compared to during the week. I would definitely return if this were not the case. I will try to go back during the week if possible. Rooms were very nice. The beds and linens were excellent. Paper goods (toilet paper and tissue) could use an upgrade as both were not very soft.

The crew in Comfort Inn, Burnet, Texas are so friendly, willing to help and always with big smiles. I've been staying in a lot of hotels/motels for the past 20 years and I have to say they are the best crew that we have ever met. My wife and the other couple traveling with me have exactly same feelings. We want to thank to Elisei and all his crew for the wonderfu, excellentl services during our stay. I definitely will come back to this place again if possible. Again,, thanks to you all, best regards!
