Rudest most non helpful lady I’ve ever encountered at a Post office. Went in to cash a money order, she rudely said “we don’t cash those, we’re nota bank. Next” I informed her that you actually do, it’s a function of the usps, then without looking at me or her drawer she says “well then I don’t have enough money to cash, next”. She needs removed from any position where she talks to people.

Go to your local post office where your mail comes from and allow your retail clerk to know you are going on vacation and you want to place your mail on hold. There are hold cards that places your address..name and the date you go on vacation and your return. Your carrier then holds your mail until date of return. This process is just for a period of time that they should share with you. There are other procedures for longer periods of time.

No. Media Mail is for paper type media that can be stacked with no weight restrictions on being stacked on top of it like a book or newspaper can. A Kindle is electronic device that can crush easily.
