There were 3 bobcats, an albino squirrel, 2 caged feral cats and 1 cat who was super friendly. The man who runs the place said they prefer u make an appointment but he stayed and showed us the animals. He knew so much about them so I learned a lot. He operates from donations only so I left donations there and at Happy Tails in Johnstown. This man really cares about these animals. Two of the bobcats were rescued from abusive homes, how sad. God bless this man and his volunteers.

I am one of the volunteers, for 5 yrs now, twice a week. Had to tell you all we just lost our beloved Shadow, our beautiful wolf, Thurs this past week, and we are so heart broken!! But I personally feel like I've lost a close friend, as I know Rick and Maren have lost a piece of their heart, as I can only imagine!! They were the lucky ones to have shared Shadows life for 15 plus years!! Please send up your blessings for all 3 of them. The sanctuary was so special to have the exceptional wolf named Shadow, who will always be in our hearts and minds!! I cherish every moment I had with him, every kiss i got from him!! He is in my minds eye now, running free and happy and healthy!! Love you Shadow, always, and thank you for the priviledge of being a tiny part of your life!!

This is the best, bar none. The love and care displayed for ALL of the animals was very impressive. I was more than happy to donate funds, knowing that these animals will benefit. I highly recommend this place for true animal lovers.

Questions & Answers

Do they take in regular cats? i have a few cats that need to be placed somewhere

There were 2 feral cats there that came from a neighbor. I don't know if they would take any more but u can call and ask. Also try Colony Cats in Dublin, if they have room they will take them. They took kittens from my feral cat before she got trapped and spayed.

Do let let you pet the animals?

No.

Hello, I was at the sanctuary this morning, it appeared to be closed? There were a couple big cats in the office, and food put in bowls, but no one was around. The freezer door was left wide open and meat thawing on the counter. Very bazarr

The food was for the outdoor kitty cats, the freezer was open to thaw meat for the "BIG cats"for the day. No big deal.
