Facility did not offer help to get a referral, or give information about why they would not. There were multiple hoops to jump through, which made it difficult to get what we needed.

*BEWARE* I would not recommend this place for anyone with medical concerns. It may be fine if you just need routine check ups. The office is cold, dark, and uninviting. That to me isn’t cause for concern but the doctor (Kauffenbarger, I believe) was cold and uninviting as well. My first appointment had me hopeful despite her personality. She ordered tons of x-rays which made me feel like she was definitely going to do everything to get to the bottom of my issue. After my x-rays came back normal, she referred me to Physical Therapy which I was very excited for after months of pain and numbness. After a week I had not been contacted by PT office, so I called and was told to just call and make the appointment myself. When I did, I was informed there was no referral sent. I spent another week being given the run around and being transferred to voicemail boxes, leaving messages that didn’t get returned , and finally got to speak to a nurse. I was told the referral was being sent again. Another week passes and no call from PT office. I did this dance with the doctor for a month until I finally made an appointment to go in and asked her to make the PT appointment while I was in the office. She also said to me “I believe you are in pain, but there’s nothing wrong with you.” Only Xrays were done. No lab work. No MRI. Didn’t even pee in a cup. I felt like I was totally brushed off and treated as a drug seeker or junkie (despite having no substance abuse issues) the minute I said the words “back pain”. The doctors demeanor made me feel so uncomfortable and I left the appointment feeling totally judged, defeated, and like I was a crazy person. I felt like I wasted 2 months of my life that I could have been using to do my Physical Therapy. I’m sure this place would be fine for routine check ups but if you have any medical issues that you are concerned about please find another doctor that will listen to you and treat you like a living, breathing human being. I immediately called my old PCP after leaving that appointment and went back to her because I am a mom and a wife and my health is important for my family and me. Good luck, hope this helps.

Not everyone in Dayton is on drugs, but you'll still be treated like you are. Excited and receptive to finally have a regular physician. First time I made my appointment I was fifteen minutes early. Waited more than an hour over my appointment time, which I was willing to overlook because I felt like Dr. Treff really sat and listened. That was the extent of anything positive. I was told I had to see an in-house counselor to receive the prescription they recommended. Not one I asked for, one that was recommended to me. Made the appointment, saw the counselor. He was friendly but the atmosphere was dark and unwelcoming . During my appointment he asked if I was being prescribed anything. I relayed to him what the doctor was considering. He said he agreed and that he will talk to her about prescription. I call the office three times in the next three weeks and leave a message each time with my name number and reason for calling. Three weeks go by and a week after my latest message I finally get a call. Meanwhile, the follow-up appointment that I was supposed to have for blood-work is rescheduled three different times by the central office. When I FINALLY got a call and explain that I was simply inquiring about the prescription that they recommended me and told me I needed, the medical assistant tells me I need another appointment, with a different office! Then, she implies that I was seeking out the drugs. What the actual hell? These aren't narcotics and I didn't even know about them until your office suggested them! I get that a lot of people in Dayton are screwed up and on drugs, but damn. How can you all be in the same office and totally unable to communicate? First time I've sought out a regular physician in years and all I'm trying to do is get myself on track and it ends up being a disaster. :(
