It has been over 1 year since I called the City and the service provided by Waste Collection has not improved. I try not to take this personally, but I have called the WCD, the Mayor's Office, and my Councilman to complain about my non-service. Every week they leave either my recycle container or the trash container full. Even when they don't empty my containers they move them to the front of my driveway and leave them there. I have constantly complained about this to anyone who will listen, but the service has not been improved. They continue to leave it in the center of my driveway, which means when I get home from work, I have to get out of my car to move the trash container (full or empty) out of the way so that I can pull into my driveway. At this point, I'm not sure what I can do to make a difference. I am following all of the rules but it doesn't matter because the workers are not doing their jobs. I had better service before I started paying the City for the collection.

Ordered a new trash can 2 months ago. Never got it. Called and they said it was delivered even though it was not. Had to put in a new request putting me at the bottom of the line, and now I have to wait another 2 months to get one.

Now you need a sticker to show that you intend on recycling what you put in your blue bin? Perhaps you should have mentioned that a bit sooner. I find out after all my bins have sat on the curb for 2 weeks uncollected.

My neighbors have bed bugs and threw their couches and junk without being covered and informed the wast department and stated I should call the Health Department. They should get a ticket.

Yes! I actually seen the garbage can drop so hard and hit the ground that a wheel fell off! I was looking out the window and i seen the driver of the garbage truck get out of the truck and put my wheel on the curb and left my can laying on its side because it wouldn't stand up with a missing wheel. I took pictures and called and got a new can in a few days

I called again this morning I was told again they won't be getting new garbage cans in until 60-90 days..I guess everyone was calling in ordering new cans so they wouldn't get fined for excess garbage left out and they weren't prepared for it because they ran out of garbage cans. I was told to take my excess garbage to the Ridge Rd dump site because you are allowed 4 times a year to dump there but i told her I only have a couple extra bags of garbage it's not worth it for me to use one of my 4 times at the Ridge Rd dump site just to dump a few garbage bags so she said to just hold on to the excess garbage until next week..ridiculous I asked if I can go buy a trash can to use until my new one arrives she said unfortunately not..if they ran out of garbage cans I feel they should allow us to put a few extra garbage bags out if our garbage can is full and not let people get fined since we are trying to correct the problem by buying another garbage can that they don't have in stock!
You might wait 3 months, but no more than that. So call again, and tell them when you called before. And tell them that it's needed as a replacement, not extra.
Household chemicals like old paint turpentine can be brought to the 5600 Carnegie Avenue. Location for disposal I do believe there is a limit 4 to 5 cans

Considering the weather conditions it could be a number of reasons. While none of these may apply to your situation. The contents in the can could be frozen to the can, sat out after the crew has already completed the street, packed in to tight so the contents wont come out when being dumped or a bag may have gotten caught on something in the can. Those would be my guess cause they are the most common reasons. Now what to do depends on which situation pertains to you. But in any case you can call down to waste collection and request a pickup if not to late in the day and if a unit is a available. Hope this helped answer your question.
