Place is looking pretty dated and is in need of major renovations. When we stayed here in late spring they were understaffed but everyone who was there was friendly and helpful. The facilities and rooms were clean. The restaurant was closed but the pool and hot tub area was open and in great shape. Can’t beat the price and the convenience of the little lift that takes you right to the village.

Such an amazing experience, this was just next to the village, great pricing and vleverythijg on the room, including the heated pool outside was great! Highly recommended

If you're looking to stay on the mountain, and pay a few dollars less, stay here. You'll just need to take the Cabriolet from the hotel to the mountain and that's pretty easy. Let's talk about this hotel: It's older. It states that in a variety of reviews. If you need new, fancy, gorgeous rooms, with granite bathrooms and new furniture? this isn't your place. However, if Formica counters in the kitchen, well worn carpet and a few nicks and dents in furniture and doors is not important, this is the place for you. It was very clean and well maintained! The bathrooms are small (it appears the tub/showers have seen some renovation; they were nice and updated with great water pressure) but have medicine cabinets to store bathroom items. We had a room with two double (not queens) beds that were very comfy; four pillows each. Great Wi-Fi reception. The walls are a bit thin; I could hear a phone ring in another room, but couldn't hear ppl talking. Rooms come with: -kitchenette with stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. No oven. Having a kitchenette was awesome and fully stocked with all the cooking items you'd need; we had silverware and place settings for four. It even had a darn blender. Also had cleaning supplies for kitchen too; dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, extra trash bags. - real coffee maker; not a Keurig; they do supply coffee, instant creamer and sweeteners. (I brought my own coffee and bought creamer at the Mercantile at the Village) -there is a humidifier which is great for those of us coming from seriously humid states - no A/C for those in the summer but the rooms do have a box fan -hair dryer attached to wall -really small-sized toiletries but did provide shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap Random things to note: -We were on 2nd floor which I loved b/c there are only two elevators and they are slow. So we took the stairs most days. -Our first room overlooked the pool; not good. It's loud so ask to avoid that; we moved. -they have a tiny little sundries store with things like individual cereal, granola bars, drinks, hot chocolate, ramen, etc. -If I remember, they do sell beer. Extra note; If you're a wine drinker, you can only buy bottles in Winter Park; they don't sell at the Village. You are literally steps from the Cabriolet that takes you two and from the ski area; it's like a 90 second to two minute ride. In the winter it runs 7:30am - 5:30pm and then there is a complimentary shuttle after that, until 10:00pm. So you can do dinner in the Village and ride back. On our visit, we did not have daily housekeeping. This could be because right now, there is a staffing issue EVERYWHERE. I was told this info at check-in and the very nice man said they were staffed 24 hours a day, should we need anything. It actually was no big deal b/c I was able to clean up after cooking in the kitchen; I had the supplies and I sure as heck don't use a clean towel every day at home; why would I need to do that at a hotel? I gave it 4 out of 5 because it is older, and that's the reason why. I felt I got the value for my money and we'll stay again.

Very nice stay. All of the staff was super friendly. Hot tub, heated pool, laundry room, snacks. They have pretty much everything. The hotel restaurant is closed. Tubing in the back of the hotel. And the lift is right out front that takes you right into downtown winter park
