Stopped for a beer and dinner as had read great reviews. Well worth the stop👍dinner ‘Crawfish Pupusas’- Salvadoran Masa cakes stuffed w/ crawfish & cheese Served with salsa Rojo & Curtido and the amazing ‘Jambalaya Fumada’ - Royal Red Shrimp, smoked Chicken, Andouille Sausage, served with w/ smoky broth & garlic bread . Delicious and amazing flavors. Highly recommend this place . Really friendly team. Thanks for a lovely experience and hospitality.

Worst experience I have had in NOLA, bad food, bad service, bad bad bad. meals showed up one at a time, cold, 4 hour tour from sit down to leaving. dry rubbery shrimp, Jambalaya was awful, Zatarans meals are better. Id rather eat hungry man from the hotel microwave. I was very happy to visit NOLA and this establishment, happier to leave!

This charming spot in the Garden District caught our attention because they serve Royal Reds. Small, intimate, and a choice menu. The gentleman who seated us was multi-tasking the whole time, took our drink order and prepared the drinks. Took our food order and served us, and as other customers arrived, did the same for them. He was in the weeds and never complained, just stepped up his game. He deserved a large gratuity. Be open, patient, of good cheer, and I assure you Basin will deliver. And check out Friday evening.
