The park is adjacent to Magees Creek - a small shady creek, less than foot on average deep - more or less in some areas. Although access is woodsy, it has a couple of places to access the creek - there is a small tubing launch and a path to a very small sandbar.
It was 9APR this year. It is normally the Saturday of the week before Easter.

Walking Tour Wednesday, Nov. 27, 6:00-9:30 The only night of the year that you can come and get an up close view of the lighted park, strolling through at your own pace - Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
