Allow me to begin by saying that i’m not usually the sort of person that feels compelled to post negative reviews on any business. However, Samuel Gettler and his establishment have made such an impact on me. I simply cannot even begin to articulate my dissatisfaction with this office. I began visiting Dr. Gettler approximately six months ago, on a monthly basis, for treatment of my acne. Initially, I was prescribed a 6 month course of Accutane. It is important to note that this treatment course was NOT my first time using Accutane, and I was fairly well acquainted with the medicine. HOWEVER, Dr. Gettler rushed through each and every appointment in a manner that I can only describe as negligent. He never took the time to review any information on the drug. I wore a mask to every single appointment, and he NEVER ONCE, in 5 months, looked at my face. As I mentioned before, this sort of thing wasn’t a deal breaker as I already knew what to expect from my treatment. However, I would not recommend him to ANYONE looking for acne treatment. There are much better dermatologists in the area who will take time to review every detail of your treatment, and hopefully actually LOOK at your face. Not a single one of my appointments lasted over 6 minutes. The real dealbreaker for me was a situation that occurred 2 months ago. I unfortunately missed an appointment due to a car accident. I spent multiple days in the hospital, yet I still wanted to remain courteous and called and called Dr. Gettlers office, leaving a message informing them of why I missed my appointment, and requesting to reschedule a new one. I later received a bill in the mail, charging me for a “no call no show.” I couldn’t believe my eyes. I had paid this establishment upwards of a grant. I was always prompt and on time with my appointments. I never questioned his professionalism and kept my opinions to myself. I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT, and I still promptly informed them of the situation. And this is the treatment I receive? Get real. Do yourself a favor and check out Southern Connecticut Dermatology, or Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut. Stay far away from this office. You will be seen as nothing more than money going straight into this doctors pocket.

Dr. Gettler has been my dermatologist for the past few years. He is attentive and thorough. You do not feel rushed out of the office. If you are in need of a dermatologist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Gettler.

He is a very good dermatologist I recommend him 100% I had a face full of pimples from a facial that I had lasted about 3 months going to several dermatologists who only gave me creams that did not work for me and with this doctor he gave me medicine and creams in The first appointment I saw the improvement week after week, he is not a doctor who has a slow process to get money, he does help from the first visit and is very reasonable in the price of his consultations, I recommend him 100%
