There is not much that I like, other than my neighbors. We closed 8.5 months ago and are still chasing down punch list items. Even though the homes are marketed and promised "full sod", the back half of our yard is a mess- not sodded and still has construction debris for goodness sakes! We have heard every excuse - and "we will discuss it in our meeting this week and get back to you"...which never happens. We wish we had spent the significant sum elsewhere, because every time we look out our back door we get upset- definitely not the experience we were promised or sold. During that process everything was "Yes" or "Of course"...once they got our signature and deposits, that quickly changed to "no, we can't", or "that was our old business model- we had to change". UPDATE- We are now here almost 3 years...still have unresolved landscaping issues (that we have given up on ever seeing completed) and most importantly, the house is NOT well built...I have doors that wont close, tile and flooring issues, crown molding separated from the ceiling in almost every room, and huge drywall cracks (some of which have been "repaired" multiple times).

We came down to North Carolina for vacation and ended up looking at numerous properties to buy. We ended up deciding to have a home built in Cress Winds active adult community. Best way to describe this complex is to say it’s an amazing resort with houses on it ! We spoke with numerous people living in the Cress Winds and everyone there loves it. We dealt with a sales rep named Doug on property, absolutely outstanding, very detailed, and most importantly no pressure. We are building exactly what we want, where we want. Cannot believe how simple this was and how excited we are.

I’m glad I don’t have to say much, the other reviews are on point. Who ever the lady is who run the pool need to be fired, I was visiting my aunt and went to the pool to be threatened by this lady who works for the community. she said she was gonna show me what some attitude was even though I respectfully said I would leave the pool. Very very very unprofessional

Ours and our neighbors was pushed back three months, no problem when they wanted to push it back, but when things put a slow down to finishing our house, we didn't think it was ready and wanted closing pushed back a week to finish things, like painting, showers, etc which didn't get finished until closing date and Kolter refused and threatened breach of contract. So we went with it but should had pushed harder and gotten a lawyer involved.
Cresswind Charlotte is expected to have 850 single-family homes once complete. I hope this information helps, thanks.
I would suggest contacting the sales center directly and they can give you budget ranges for the different size homes. I believe you can even ask one of the online agents if you visit the website.
